North Branford Providing More COVID Rapid Home Test Kits to Residents

The Town of North Branford is making more COVID-19 rapid home tests available to Town residents following a new distribution of test kits from the East Shore District Health Department. The antigen rapid tests from InteliSwab are packaged with two tests per kit and provide results within 15 minutes.

The COVID testing kits are available for pickup without an appointment at four locations in Town:

North Branford Town Hall - Town Manager's office, 909 Foxon Road, North Branford. Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Stanley T. Williams Community and Senior Center - front desk, 1332 Middletown Avenue, Northford. Monday through Thursday, 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday, 5:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, 7:30 a.m. to noon

Edward Smith Library - 3 Old Post Road, Northford. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Atwater Library - 1720 Foxon Road, North Branford. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

With the public health emergency ending, free testing will end on June 30, and free home test kits will begin to phase out. These new test kits have an expiration of August of 2023.
