Jennifer Lopez Stuns in Daring Gown at ‘Wicked’ Premiere | Us Weekly

Jennifer Lopez was every bit the showstopper as she attended the Wicked premiere in Los Angeles on Saturday, November 9.

The actress and singer, 55, looked amazing in a daring beaded Zuhair Murad gown, which featured a halter top neck, high slit and cutouts at the waist. She paired the dress with beaded bracelets, a sparkly clutch and nude diamond-encrusted heels.

J.Lo’s hair was up in a loose twist with two locks draping her face. She smiled on the red carpet, posing for photographers and waving to fans before making her way into the historic Dorothy Chandler Pavilion.

Her appearance at the premiere of the movie adaptation of the hit musical shouldn’t come as a surprise. J.Lo has been open about her love of musical theater, telling Vogue in 2022 that she would like to be on Broadway one day.

When discussing her roots in New York City’s Bronx borough for the outlet’s “73 Questions,” Lopez was asked if fans would ever see her on the Great White Way. She responded with a cryptic “I hope so” before revealing Dreamgirls was the first musical she ever saw on Broadway.

Wicked, which recently celebrated its 20th anniversary, tells the origin story of The Wizard of Oz and follows two witches, Elphaba and Galinda, before they become the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good. Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth, who originated the roles on Broadway, were also in attendance at the premiere and posed alongside the film’s stars, Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande.

Lopez has been a longtime supporter of Grande, 31, and has been spotted celebrating with her in the past, as well as collaborating with the pop star on 2019’s “Focus On My Medicine.”

The “Waiting For Tonight” singer, who recently filed for divorce from Ben Affleck after two years of marriage, has been embracing the single life with a newfound confidence — on and off the red carpet.

“My whole life has been proving my enoughness,” she told Nikki Glaser for Interview magazine in October. “Dealing with feeling like you’re enough, from when you’re very young, is something that you don’t figure out for a long time, because you’re not looking at yourself like that. Something is driving you and your decisions and you don’t know why. You start going, “Wait a minute, what the f— is going on here?”

Lopez continued: “I think my whole life I’ve just been trying to say I’m good enough, until where I am now, when I know. I’m giving myself credit. I’m telling that little girl that grew up in the Bronx, ‘You’ve done really good for yourself.’ I didn’t do that for so many years. And now I think, with everything that’s happened in my life and in my relationships and even in my career, it’s like, give yourself a bit of comfort and love. We’ve been through a lot of things that nobody knows about, and you’ve persevered and you refuse to give up and to let it get you down. There’s something to be said for that because things can really change your life in a way that you do want to give up and say, ‘F— this, this is too hard, I don’t want to do this anymore.’ But I’m not there. I refuse to not give myself everything that little girl deserves.”
